Cathy Dene Blakley, born on November 5, 1950, bid farewell to this world on April 26, 2024, Cathy's life touched the hearts of many and left a lasting mark of kindness, wherever she went.
She is survived by her three daughters: Traci Dene Ketchum, residing in Alex, Oklahoma, alongside her husband, Tom, and their children Tra and Olivia and Cathy's great-grandson, Kainon Ketchum; great-granddaughter, Blaikyn Wilkerson; daughter Kimberly Fuller, also of Alex; and Magen Stewart of Dallas, with her husband Grant and their children Adam and Brooke Stewart.
In addition to her daughters, Cathy is mourned by her brothers, Kenny Blakley of Oklahoma City and Larry Blakley of Nashville, who shared in both her joys and sorrows throughout their lives. Cathy was preceded in death by her grandson, Ryland Ketchum, and her parents, Alphadene and Charles Blakley.
Though she has departed from this world, Cathy's memory lives on in the hearts of those she touched. For twenty-one years, Cathy dedicated herself to the betterment of others through her supporting work at the University of Central Oklahoma in their Speech and Language Pathology department. Her commitment to helping others was symbolic of her caring nature and desire to make a difference in the lives of those around her.
A celebration of Cathy's life will take place on June 1st at the University of Central Oklahoma, 100 N University Dr, Edmond, OK 73034, Cherokee Room at 12PM. The family kindly requests that any arrangements be made with Sevier Funeral Home in Chickasha. Cremation services provided by Sevier Funeral Home.
Cathy Dene Blakley will be dearly missed but never forgotten. May her kindness, warmth, and enduring love continue to encourage all those who knew her.
