Carol May Taylor

A memorial service will be held graveside on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, OK.  Visitation will be Tuesday and Wednesday, February 23 rd and 24 th at Sevier Funeral Home, Tuttle, OK.

Carol May Taylor, of Tuttle, OK, was born September 11, 1947 in Nottingham, Pennsylvania to Paul and Marjorie (Bunker) Jones.  She passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at her home in Tuttle at the age of 73.

Carol graduated high school in Oxford, Pennsylvania and was captain of their field hockey team in 1966.  She moved to California for a few years before returning home to Pennsylvania and reuniting with her high school sweetheart, Jack Robert Taylor, Sr.  They married in October of 1969 and went on to have two kids, Vicki and Jack.

Jack Sr. ran his own automotive business and Carol took on her calling of being a stay at home mom, which she did amazingly.  In 1983 they moved to Tuttle, OK and a few years later she started working for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court.  She continued to work full time while taking care of her husband, Jack, who passed in 2003.  She retired shortly after and met Martin Hibdon and have spent the last 15 years together.

Carol always made lemonade from lemons and faced trials and challenges while remaining positive and strong.  She had the most caring heart and always bragged on her granddaughters.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Robert Taylor, Sr.; her father and mother, Paul and Marjorie Jones; her son, Jack Robert Taylor, Jr. and a brothers Paul Jones and Danny Jones.

Carol is survived by her daughter Vicki Lowmiller and her husband David, of Tuttle, OK;

Her husband, Martin Hibdon of Tuttle, OK;

Granddaughters: Alyson Taylor of Midwest City, OK; Carley Fryrear and husband, Conner, of Tuttle, OK; Sarah Lowmiller of Tuttle, OK and Aubree Spicer of Moore, OK;

A brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Hope Jones of Maryland;

And her sister, Sandra Grinestaff of Pennsylvania.

Arrangements are under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home, Tuttle, OK.
