Carol Lynn Martin

Memorial Service for Carol Lynn Martin will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the Sevier Funeral Home Chapel.

Carol Lynn (Miller) Martin, a life-long resident of Chickasha, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, September 19, 2025, at the age of 72.

Carol was born on July 25, 1953, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Fred and Ramona Miller. She was the oldest of their six children. Carol was ⅛ Chickasaw and strongly identified with her heritage as a First American. Carol graduated from Chickasha High School in 1971. She attended the University of Oklahoma and Texas Christian University before beginning a career with Pool-Martin Insurance Agency. In 2003, Carol took over ownership of The Memory Box Hallmark Store in Southland Shopping Center. She was proud to be a business owner and proud of her role in supporting local commerce.

Carol was married to Mark Alan Martin from 1976 to 2005. On February 15, 1980, Carol welcomed daughter Nora Lynn and on February 19, 1983, she welcomed son Matt Aldrich. Carol was artistic and enjoyed drawing, coloring, and crossword puzzles. She was a people person and loved visiting with customers, friends, and family. Carol particularly appreciated the friendship she shared with Suzanne Terry. Carol also enjoyed being involved in her local community through organizations such as Junior Social Workers, Holy Name Catholic Church, Girl Scouts, and youth soccer.

Carol is survived by her children, Nora and husband Chris, and Matt and wife Laura; two granddaughters Grace and Audrey; brothers Scot Miller and wife Sheryl, Kirk Miller and wife Sharon, Tim Miller, King Miller and wife Tamara; sister Melanie Jervis and husband George; several nieces and nephews and many friends.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents and her former spouse, Mark Martin.
