Brian Keith Buchanan

The family will be holding a celebration of life Friday, June 17, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. at the Grady County Fair Grounds Community Building, Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Brian Keith Buchanan, of Chickasha, OK, passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2022, in Oklahoma City, OK, at age 51. He was born on March 26, 1971, in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Brian lived in the Chickasha area all his life, he attended school at Middleberg and Alex where he then graduated from Alex High School. Brian was always working with his hands. He was a mechanic and machinist his whole life. He worked at Baity Screw Machine Products, in Chickasha, Oklahoma for more than ten years.

He loved rebuilding and driving Harley's and classic cars. Brian enjoyed going on motorcycle trips with his family and friends. He attended Sturgis several times and would have gone every year if he had the chance. Brian was a hard worker and always lived life to the fullest. His favorite thing in the world was spending time with his grandchildren and children. Brian loved his family and friends more than anything and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Flossie Lail; nephew, Joshawa Ray Shelton; and niece, Treva Buchanan.

Brian is survived by his fiancé, Sherry Loveless, and son, Dakota Lynn Buchanan of the home; grandchildren, Hannah, Jayden, Jasper, Azalea, and Jude Gorham; daughter, Krystal Gorham, and husband, Nathan; siblings, David Wayne Buchanan and wife, Jacqueline, Lily Ward, and Barry Thompson; Clairessa Shelton and husband, Don; father, David Wayne Buchanan; close nephews, David Wayne Buchanan Jr., Jeremy, and Jered Shelton; as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

The family has requested in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Sevier Funeral Home to help the family cover the costs of the services.
