Brenda Kaye Rodgers

Brenda Kaye Rodgers passed away on January 15, 2024 in Chickasha, Oklahoma at the age of 70. She was born on October 28, 1953 to Kermit and Opal Fitzpatrick.

Funeral service for Brenda will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 1:00p.m. at the Full Gospel Church in Chickasha, Oklahoma. She will be laid to rest at Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Brenda grew up in the Cement area where she attended school at Ninnekah. She graduated from Ninnekah High School and continued to live in the Cement and Chickasha area her entire life. She had six children: Carmalita, Harve, James, Ellen Michelle, Christopher and Candace. Brenda had several jobs including being a Caregiver, as well as, a Cook at the hospital and at USAO. She attended college at USAO. She received her Associate's degree in childhood education. Brenda had a long career as a Head Start teacher devoting over twenty years to teaching children. Brenda loved shopping at Good Will, Quilting, as well as, loving on her animals. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Kermit and Opal (Vernon) Fitzpatrick; her husband, Jerry Dean Rodgers; her son, James Marker; her step son, Nathan Rodgers; her brother Eldon Fitzpatrick and his wife Patricia Fitzpatrick; her brother, Kermit LaRay Fitzpatrick and his wife Suzie Fitzpatrick.

Brenda is survived by her children: Carmalita Trammell and husband David; Harve Lumpkin and wife Suzanne; Ellen Michelle Elliott and husband Jack; Christopher Marker; Candace Holley and husband Ricky; her grandchildren: Levi Trammell and wife Joi, Grant Trammell, Collin Trammell and wife Melanie, Carson Trammell, Harrison Trammell, Roman Trammell, Sorella Trammell; Colten Lumpkin, Brent Elliott, Anna Elliott, Nathan Timmons, Robert Wade Ferguson, Nicholas Eugene Ferguson, Brett Elliott; Savannah Crow, Marissa Holley, Jamie Holley, Riley Joe Holley; her brother, Dwain Fitzpatrick and wife Carolyn; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
