Betty Joan Zeiset

Betty Joan (Meeks) Zeiset, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at the age of 73, surrounded by family.  She was born on July 15, 1945 in Minco, Oklahoma to Walter William and Euma Nancy (Shafer) Meeks.

Betty grew up in Chickasha and attended Chickasha Schools.  She married DeWayne Zeiset on May 28, 1962 at the age of sixteen.  They had two children, Perry and Polly.  Betty worked for Braum's over 30 years in various positions and retired as a District Supervisor in 2001.

In her later years, Betty worked in the nursery at First Learning Center Moore and enjoyed loving on the babies.  Her favorite past time was spending time with her six grandchildren who lived down the road on the family farm in Alex, Oklahoma.  She would always offer them a good home cooked meal and no one left before having her special ice cream shakes.

Betty is survived by her son, Perry Zeiset and wife, Karen;
Her daughter, Polly Choate and husband, Warren;

Grandchildren: Jonathan Zeiset and wife, Whitney; Carissa Thompson and husband, Shane;
Noah Zeiset, Abigail Choate, Aryn Choate, and Benajmin Choate;

Great grandsons:  Karrson Zeiset and Robert Zeiset;

Sister, Dollie Garrett;
And many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Dewayne Zeiset, her parents, Walter William and Euma Nancy; Brother, Leslie Guinn; Sister, Lillian Morgan; and Brother, Clarence Sonny Meeks.
