Funeral service for Dr. Betty Sevier Rogers will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home. Interment will be at Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Dr. Betty Sevier Rogers passed from this life on Monday September 22, 2025 in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 84. Betty was born on October 7, 1940 in Chickasha, OK to Jodie W. Sevier and Virginia (Hambrick) Sevier.

Betty grew up in Chickasha, OK and graduated from Chickasha High School. She received her bachelor's degree from Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha, OK and her master's degree from Central State University in Edmond, OK. She received her doctorate degree from Oklahoma University in Norman, OK. Betty taught at the college level in New Mexico, Arkansas, and Texas. She retired from teaching in Texas in the early 2000s. Betty moved backed to Oklahoma where she lived the rest of her life.

Betty had three children, Elaine, Darlene, and Gene.

Betty loved to go bird watching, crocheting, and was an avid reader.

She is preceded in death by her father, Jodie Sevier; her mother, Virginia Sevier; and her brother, Larry Sevier.

Loved ones left to remember her are her children, Elaine Hook and husband Kevin of Yukon, OK, Darlene White and husband Scott of Oklahoma City, OK, and Gene Rogers and Lisa Rogers of Comanche, OK; sisters, Patsy Holstein and Janice Say; 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
