Betty L. Williams

Graveside will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, November 23, 2020 at the Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, OK.

Betty Lucille Williams died on Wed, Nov 18, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in OKC.  Betty was the youngest child of Emory and Alta Helt, being born on Feb 6, 1936 in Kingfisher OK.  She had an older brother, Merle Helt and an older sister, Marilyn (Helt) Herring, both of which have preceded her in death.

Betty was married to Max Martin Williams on Sept. 22, 1955 and lived in Wichita KS, Hennessey, OK and OKC before moving their family of 6 to Tuttle in 1971.  They raised their four sons here and co-owned the local grocery store with his brother Don until 1991, when they retired and moved to Crescent, OK.  They moved back to Tuttle in 2017 when Max's health began to decline. He passed from this life in Oct of that year and Betty remained in their home carrying on the tasks of a busy housewife and grandmother.  Over the past 40 years, Betty has best been known for her handmade quilts, homemade cinnamon rolls, and her family's Prayer Warrior.

As Betty enters the gates of Heaven, she leaves behind-for now-her children; Marty and his wife, Brenda, Greg and his wife, Karen, Kent and his wife Kim and Coy and his wife, Sheila, all of Tuttle.   Max and Betty had 14 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren, all of which they were very proud!  She also leaves many nieces and nephews, close friends and a loving church family.

Betty joins her husband of 62 years, first in Heaven, then in their place of burial at Fairview Cemetery in Tuttle.
