Funeral service for Betty Ann Denton will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Chickasha, OK. Interment will be at Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Betty Ann Denton went to her heavenly home on Sunday, December 7, 2025 in Chickasha, OK at the age of 86.

Betty Ann Denton was born on December 29, 1938, in Chickasha, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Gladace and Lela Goyne of Alex, Oklahoma. Betty graduated from Alex High School and went on to attend Central State University. During her school years, she served one year as state president of the Oklahoma Future Homemakers.

At a young age, Betty trusted in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, and she remained a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Chickasha throughout her life.

Betty married the love of her life, Dick Denton, on March 14, 1959, in Alex, Oklahoma. Together, they joined First Baptist Church Chickasha on May 2, 1965, where they faithfully served for many decades.

Betty built a distinguished career at Chickasha Bank, where she worked for more than 30 years and ultimately became a vice president. She was a charter member of P.E.O. and a former member of Junior Social Workers. Her dedication to her community and her excellence in her profession were recognized when she was honored as Business Woman of the Year by the American Business Women's Association.

Betty's life was marked by faith, service, hard work, and unwavering love for her family and community. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Gladace and Lela (Filer) Goyne.

Loved ones left to remember her include her loving husband, Dick Denton, her son Craig Denton and his wife Cheryl; her grandchildren, Hunter Denton and wife Abbey, Parker Denton and wife Lyndsie, Camden Denton, Courtlan Chapman and husband Tatum; her great grandchildren, Banks & Graham Denton; her sister Saundra Pettigrew and husband Lindel; nephew, Jeff Pettigrew and wife Sherrie; great nieces and nephews, Preston Pettigrew, Peyton Swearingin, Paige Greenway, and Price Pettigrew; as well as numerous other family and friends.
