Bettie Louise Base, of Tuttle, Oklahoma, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at her home of Tuttle, at the age of 80.  She was born October 14, 1939 in Tuttle, Oklahoma to Thomas Lee and Katherine Sohia (Miller) Reynolds.

Bettie Louise attended Tuttle High School where she participated in softball and basketball.  She was the Drum Majorette, FFA Sweetheart and the Football Homecoming Queen.

She married the love of her life, Freddie Base on June 1, 1957.  She worked at Tommy Caldwell's grocery store until she became a mother.  She had four beautiful children.  After her kids started school she went to work at Western Electric.

Mama B, as everyone knew her, was a member of a bowling league and she loved to square dance.  She enjoyed attending music events with her husband where she entertained the audience with her jokes while the band rested.  She was a fierce competitor when it came to playing dominoes.  If you ever questioned where the double six was, you could bet it was in her hand.  She also loved to play Phase 10 where things could get heated and we mean literally.  A few cards ended up in the furnace.

An avid collector of Beanie Babies, she drug Papa to an innumerable number of Hallmark stores.  She drove all over creation to hunt down her Beanie Babies.  A crafter at heart, Mama B could do anything.  She quilted, crocheted, knitted, glass etched and even created beautiful stain glass art.

Her favorite place was on the back porch where she could watch her humming birds and squirrels for hours.  She was a servant and had a true servant's heart.  She lived to take care of those she loved and excelled at it.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Sophia Reynolds; a brother, Dellow Reynolds and a sister, Opal Winona Reynolds.

Bettie is survived by her husband, Freddie Base;
