Arthur Howe, Jr., 89, of Middleberg, OK went to be with the Lord early Friday morning at his home on August 18, 2017 surrounded by family members.
Memorials may be made to Middleberg Baptist Church Building Fund, 2341 Old Hwy 62, Blanchard OK 73010, where Arthur Howe was an active member for 60 years.
Arthur was born May 5, 1928 in Connewango Township near Binger, OK. He attended school in Britton, OK.
On November 16, 1951 he married Margie Mae Newton. Arthur was employed in the oilfield for 20+ years, employed as a truck driver for McComas Truck Lines for 14yrs and employed at Standridge Equipment for 5 years. After his retirement he enjoyed junking with scrap iron and copper. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as the whole Middleberg Community. He attended numerous football, basketball, baseball and softball games following his kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. He was their biggest fan of all and never missed an event or program except for health reasons.
Arthur is survived by his wife, Margie Howe, of Middleberg, his six children, Wayne Howe and Mary of Chickasha, Dale Howe and Linda of Hennessey, Sandra Grodecki and Steve of Chickasha, Lewis Howe and Robbi of Blanchard, Mark Howe of Alex, Toby Howe of Chickasha. Grandchildren: Krista Morgan and John of Marlow, Jeremy Howe and Renee of Chickasha, Lacey Brantley and Bruce of Chickasha, Shea Gordon and Miles of Washington, Amy Charmasson and Chad of Hennessey, Tara Howe of Norman, Melanie Grodecki and Eric Sikes of Norman, Mindi Combs and Justin of Washington, Elissa Hale and Jay of Chickasha, Kyle Howe and Christina of Chickasha, Zachary Howe and Allison of Oklahoma City. Great-grandchildren: Brennan Morgan, Carson Howe, Hudson Morgan, Jaaron Gordon, Wyatt Hale, Cade Charmasson, Bentli Brantley, Trevin Gordon, Crew Charmasson, Jace Combs and Axel Hale.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Lottie Howe and eight siblings with one surviving brother, Billy Howe and Mildred of Culver, Oregon as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
