Arlen was born and raised on a farm south of Tuttle. He worked for area farmers and for Sparky, at Sparks' Texaco. He had many friends during his school years. Arlen then moved to Detroit MI. for work.
He ran cranes and digging equipment. That job took him all over the United States and Scotland during his successful career. He married and raised a family there in Michigan. Arlen married Linda 25 years ago and moved back home 18 years ago, not far from where he was born. They built a beautiful home here where they raised gardens, trees, and flowers. He loved the wild birds around their house and keeping them well fed. He loved to collect treasures around the place and tinkered on all sorts of machinery. Arlen had a gentle and kind nature with a good sense of humor. You could count on Arlen for a good word, a laugh and encouragement every time you seen him. He was quick to help with anything you might need. Arlen will be greatly missed.
