Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at the Ninnekah First Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Bradley Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Lydia "Ann" (Brown) Foster passed away Saturday, March 26, 2022 in Chickasha, OK at the age of 93. She was born December 31, 1928 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Charles Eugene Brown and Willie (Nunley) Brown.

Ann grew up in Duncan, Oklahoma with her family, she was the youngest of three children. Her father had a truck farm that she would help him with as a child where they would drive a route and sell produce in Duncan. She attended church all of her life, first attending in Duncan, and then when she married her husband, Johnny, Alex First Baptist Church, and for the last 12 years attended Ninnekah First Baptist Church. She was very involved in each of her churches always helping with providing food. While attending Alex First Baptist Church she was a proud member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She taught Sunday school for many years, was a member of the Benevolence committee, and Fellowship committee at Ninnekah First Baptist Church. She was also a member of the "Busy Hands Women's Community Group." Ann loved to sew and cook, craft and make quilts. Ann was known by many around town as the candy lady because anytime she would be out and about she would carry bags of candy to hand out to people. Ann met her husband, Johnny Foster, in the 1960s and knew him for two and half months and then they married. Ann and Johnny were married for almost sixty years before Johnny passed away in 2010.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Johnny Foster; and siblings, Everett Truman Brown and Dereen Fay Marco.

Ann is survived by her cousin, James Nunley and Children of Duncan, OK; close friends whom she considered to be her family, James and Stella Allen; their children, Ed and Gayla Allen and sons, Kenneth and Katherine Allen and children and grandchildren, James R. Allen and children and grandchildren, Nick and Tracy Allen and daughters; as well as numerous friends and special friends whom she called daily.
