Alphonse "Al" Carollo

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 10, 2020 at the First Assembly of God Church, Tuttle, OK.

Alphonse Homer "Al" Carollo, 86, of Tuttle, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at the Norman Veteran's Center in Norman, Oklahoma.  He was born March 12, 1934 in Leland, Mississippi to Charles Joseph and Lucille Gertrude (Thornton) Carollo.

Al enlisted into the United States Army in 1952 and served during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He made the U.S. Army his career and served for 20 years and 9 months.  He and his family came back to Tuttle in 1969 and retired from the Army in January of 1973.

He married Wanda Cox on March 5, 1955 at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma and to this union 5 children were born.  After his retirement, he managed TNT of Tuttle and also was a plumber.  He also trained horses in Tuttle, Remington and in Raton, New Mexico.

He is preceded in death by his parents, 8 brothers and 1 sister.

Al is survived by his wife, Wanda Carollo;

His children: Al Carollo, Phillip Carollo, Carol Lance, Connie Mason, and Frank Carollo;

14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren;

Sisters: Sara Marie Stanton, Linda Winter, Barbara Ivey, and Roselyn St. Clair.

Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, OK under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home, Tuttle, OK.
