Alfrieda Ann Nightingale

Alfrieda Ann Nightingale was born on August 13, 1951 to Glen and Roberta Nightingale at Chickasha, OK.  She passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Corn Heritage Village, Corn, OK, at the age of 67.

Alfrieda was born mentally handicapped.  She was very active and a happy child.  In 1958, at the age of 6, she moved to Pauls Valley State School.  She resided in various state homes throughout her life.  She was currently a resident at Corn Heritage Village where she received excellent care.

On December 3, 2018, she suffered a stroke which hastened her decline and passing.  In a bittersweet moment another Angel has found her wings and set off on flight…Safe in the arms of Jesus and to those gone before her waiting and anticipating her arrival as she makes her flight to Heaven.

She was preceded in death by her parents, paternal grandparents and maternal grandparents.

Surviving are her siblings:

Wilma Smith and husband, Weldon and Calvin Nightingale and wife, Susan of Chickasha, OK;

Bernice Schmidt and husband, Verlon, of Rush Springs, OK;

Letha Unruh and husband, Cliff of Chickasha, OK;

Nieces and nephews: Ivan and Alison Smith and children;

special niece and guardian, Beverly Smith; Myron Smith, Sheresa and Brad Smith and children;

and Braden and Chantel Nightingale;

numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
